Did Yeshua, the Messiah, save us FROM sin.......

or

save us so we could continue to sin?

That is the dilemma offered by the false message of evangelical christianity versus what the bible truly says.  Seminaries around the world are indoctrinating their men and women to perpetuate a false message.......that freedom in Christ is now the abolishment of the Torah.  But that is not what the bible says and it is not what Yeshua taught.  Freedom in Christ is the ability (power) to overcome sin.  Sin is only sin if there is a Torah in place that defines it.  Repentance is only necessary if there is something to repent of........namely "sin".  But since almost no one in our modern churches today will admit that they sin or if they do, they relish the thought that they sin in false humility, it stands to reason that this is the natural progression of apostasy.  "There is no law, therefore there is no sin, therefore I don't sin, therefore I have no need to repent and turn from anything.  I'm just fine the way I am and you better not tell me any differently and I like my culture too much to change anything about it now".

And the opposite extreme in thought is equally destructive with the very same result.  "We all sin every day and we will continue to do so......so I'm just fine with my sin and your sin (after all, I'm extending you grace and you're supposed to do the same) and anything that the bible declares to me as sin is boring and uninteresting to me and I don't agree anyway.  I'm comfortable with my "sin nature" and I'm going to reflect on how much my Father loves me instead of how much I read of His holiness".

If either of these scenarios are part of our doctrinal theology, heaven help us!  Either we serve our Father with "unveiled faces", meaning His Holy Spirit resides in us to explain the vast difference in what is taught from the mouths of men versus what is taught in the Word of God, or we are serving idols that we like and are more comfortable with.  The sadness of those who don't see it, is assurance that our Father has blinded them.

2Cor 3:14 But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant (Torah) is read. It (the veil) has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. 15 Even to this day when Moses is read (Torah), a veil covers their hearts. 16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil (not the Torah) is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image (how?  by His Torah) with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

2Cor 4Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ (Torah in the flesh), who is the image of God.
